CONEXPO-CON/AGG Showgoers ‘Walk the Walk’ to the Durst Booth

Superlatives abound in recalling CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2011. “Unprecedented,” “over the top,” “excellent” and “beyond expectations” are just some of the praises Durst staff, distributors and show attendees have voiced for the triennial event, held March 22-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The huge construction and agricultural industry trade show attracted 120,000 visitors and 2,400 exhibitors among the cranes, mixers, trucks and drilling equipment displayed in the indoor and outdoor exhibits. To drive home the fact that Durst is taking the lead in one-source solutions, we showcased our hydraulic pump drive product line, in addition to new torsion control offerings. Durst staff demonstrated the vibration-dampening effects of torsion control products attached to pump drives. We also highlighted our line of zero offset direct drives and transfer cases. Additionally, booth visitors were able to see a new planetary wheel drive gearbox, manufactured by Tongil Industries Co., Ltd. of Korea, that Durst believes will gain a foothold in the North American market.

“It was the best show I’ve ever seen in terms of booth traffic, interested buyers and general excitement on the floor,” says John Locarno, Durst’s Global Sales & Marketing Manager. “As floor layouts go, our booth wasn’t the easiest in the world for people to locate, but that didn’t deter them a bit. The steady stream of existing and prospective customers kept us happily busy from beginning to end. Our exhibit area overflowed with showgoers eager to learn everything they could about new markets and applications.”
