Heavy Traffic, Keen Interest in Durst Drives at CIPPE 2012

CLINTON, Wis. — CIPPE 2012, the 12th China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition, kicked off on March 19 at the New China International Exhibition Center in Beijing with great fanfare. Durst was among the huge contingent of international exhibitors with excellent brand image and innovative products for the oil and gas industry.

Held twice a year, in spring and autumn, CIPPE events have joined the ranks of the world’s three leading petroleum exhibitions, along with the Houston-based Offshore Technology Conference and Aberdeen, Scotland’s Offshore Europe. This year’s spring session — the autumn edition of CIPPE will take place from August 22-24 in Shanghai — boasted more than 1,500 exhibitor companies from over 62 countries and regions.

The number of oil and gas professionals visiting the exhibition topped 50,000 for the first time. National pavilions from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Russia, Korea and other nations packed the show floor. Some of the giants of industry were in attendance.

CIPPE provided an excellent venue for Durst to showcase the new-generation pump drive technology. Durst collaborated with Marlin Engineered Technologies Co., Ltd. to make a strong impression at the trade show. Marlin Engineered Technologies is a distributor of fluid power and power transmission systems that services Durst customers in China.

Booth traffic was outstanding during the trade show’s three-day run, with a steady stream of existing and prospective customers. Visitors to the Durst product area were prepared with detailed technical questions about the equipment lineup’s applications for oil and gas development. They listened intently to answers and collected product literature.

Users of Durst drives gave a glimpse of what is coming for the petroleum and petrochemical business. In addition, they offered favorable direct feedback on the quality of Durst products.
